For those of you who don’t know who Henry Ward Beecher was well he was an American Congregationalist clergyman, speaker and social reformer who was around in the 19th century and is most known for his support of the abolition of slavery.

Are you happy with the way you look? It’s more than likely that you’re not – as around 91% of women are unhappy with their bodies.
Now I’m sure you’ll agree that you didn’t consciously create for yourself an unhealthy body image; instead over time you unconsciously developed it due to constant repetition of the images of the so called perfect women in the media…

Two monks were on a pilgrimage. One day, they came to a deep river. At the edge of the river, a young woman sat weeping, because she was afraid to cross the river without help. She begged the two monks to help her. The younger monk turned his back. The members of their order were forbidden to touch a woman.
But the older monk picked up the woman without a word and carried her across the river. He put her down on the far side and continued his journey. The younger monk came after him, scolding him and berating him for breaking his vows. He went on this way for a long time. Continue reading »

Kyle Thompson is a 22 year old photographer from Chicago who got into photography at the age of 19 while he was still in college. Three years, and his dream has come true!
The way he got into photography is that he saw some photographs by Francesca Woodman online and he found them very interesting and moving.
